Bookkeeping

The objective of the bookkeeping program of study is to prepare students for employment as entry-level Bookkeepers. Upon successful completion of the program students will:

  • Be able to perform basic computer bookkeeping
  • Understand basic double entry accounting
  • Be able to reconcile bank accounts
  • Know how to manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Understand basic accounting rules and principles

Modes & Methods of Instruction

Classroom lecture and practicum exercises in laboratory and/or clinical settings will be used to teach the material. Training will be comprised of assigned reading, discussion, hands on instruction, and demonstration.
